Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. She was awarded an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress for The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. French, German English fluently. Her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's top drama schools. The actress won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 at the Mangalia Young Actor Gala. She was honoured as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. Her role in Romanian art-film 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days is remembered as well. It won her numerous accolades, such as the European Film Award Best Actress to London Film Critics. In 2007, she starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 days (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days) directed by Cristian Mungiu. It received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other prizes (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was a different film where she starred. In 2008 she played Yasim anwar in the BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role in the Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically popular Five Minutes of Heaven. In the movie Fury (2014) the actress was Irma, a German woman who was Emma's aunt.
